Happy Monday!

Hello Happy MLK DAY and a day off for me!

I am loving this long weekend, even though I didn't get barely anything I wanted accomplished!

Friday: I got off an hour early from work, so I was excited and got to go workout early. I got 5.5 miles done on the elliptical, abs, and weights. The low point of my workout was seeing a guy doing squats and his leopard underwear were showing...haha...I had a hard time holding myself together...next low point hearing a guy try to pep talk himself to do his reps. (then he didn't even finish them) but I was so happy to get my workout done early! Scott and I ended up and watching the boys basketball game, which we won so that was nice. The rest of the night was relaxing.

Saturday: I went to a special Saturday spinning class they had. I wore my new shirt I got for Christmas, loved it. Kept me motivated.

After my workout I got a nice surprise that my pop-e was coming for the rest of the weekend. Scott left for Denver to go watch the playoff game so it was nice to have company. I finally got to watch my cousin Carson play and she even got in the varsity game!

I ended up staying the night with my family since Scott was out of town. So nice to hang out with them.

Sunday: LAZY. that was my word yesterday. I did nothing but watch football and sleep. The twins stopped by and that was nice. Milli got to play with my aunt's boxers. I think she wore them both out!

Last night I finally told myself I needed to do at least one thing productive, so I gave Milli a shower. Thank goodness because she smells much better haha!

Today: I went to breakfast with my pop-e, aunt, and cousin. We then went shopping (if you can call it that) at a little store we have. They came over and helped try to pick out some paint colors for some more rooms in the house... and now I need to go to the grocery store to get some food since we seem to have nothing.
I am honestly just enjoying having the day off!!!

I hope you have had a wonderful day and weekend!

My weekend and monday

hello friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Monday. I had every intention of blogging last night, but while I was cooking dinner I came out to the living room to this....

My husband surprised me with a little set up for a "romantic" evening. It was really a nice surprise, so obviously I allowed myself to just enjoy the time with him.

It was a nice treat after a long Monday. I had more students added to my class, and let's just say it made for a difficult day.

My weekend....

Friday:
completely low key. We had dinner with the in-laws, and then came home and watched tv/movies. It was so nice just to relax. We were supposed to go to my mom's this weekend, but due to weather, it didn't happen, so I was a little sad about that.

Saturday:
Since I didn't want to workout on Friday I made sure I went and worked out on Saturday making it 5 days! YAY! I did 5 miles on the elliptical!

\

After a workout I relaxed and Scott watched some football.
We ended up going to dinner with another couple, and then going for a few drinks. I guess you could say a few drinks for Scott. I had one and just felt guilty having one after working out so hard that day.

Sunday:
Since we stayed the weekend I had a baby shower to go to. It was so nice and I even won a little wine glass filled with chocolates and make up! The sweet prego friend is due any day now and you wouldn't guess she is that far along! She is adorable. And I got to see one of my closest friends. I felt left out though over half the girls there were pregnant! Crazy! haha! oh well my time will come some day hopefully.

The rest of the day I cleaned and got ready for the week!

Low key, but that's okay with me!!

Hope your weekend + monday have been great!

Oh and on Sunday my pop-e and late Grandma would have celebrated 68 years. I know my grandma is smiling down at my pop-e! I made sure to call him and tell him happy anniversary! love that man to the moon and sure miss grandma everyday!

Happy Tuesday.

Holy Monday....Mingle...and Weekend

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope your day's have been great and not the "typical" Monday!

I am going to start with my weekend rewind....

Friday: Friday was a nice day. Work was done by one. I got some errands done, and Scott's Christmas party for work was that night. It was an Ugly Sweater theme. My uncle has this great sweater that he let Scott wear, and Scott's mom had one from high school that she let me borrow. She also still had her boots from 1970 that I wore! They def completed the outfit!

It was a great time, and much needed with my husband, but since we don't go out much, we were still home by 11!

Saturday: I made breakfast for both Scott and I, and then got super excited because pop-e was on his way to our house. He was our first guest! Milli couldn't barely contain herself!

We relaxed with him, and my aunt came over. We ended up all helping baby sit the twins because their dad had his Christmas party. It was a good time! I hadn't got to see them in a while!

As you can see below they now love making faces!

I am super excited because they will be coming to Christmas in Laramie with the rest of us!

Pop-e tried out my aunt's beats and I couldn't resist taking a picture!

Sunday: We all slept in since we stayed up later talking. Pop-e def got a wake up call from his buddy.

She knew right where he was and snuggled right in.

We enjoyed breakfast, but then pop-e had to head back home. I was sad, but also knew that I would be seeing him this coming weekend for the holidays! The rest of the day my cousin Courtney stayed at our house and I literally had my arm on her belly all day. I felt baby boy kick, and move. I talked to him, played him music... Loved every minute of it.

Milli even got in on the action!

It was such a nice day. She is so much like me and it's great to just talk with her!

The weekend was awesome.

Monday: Oh helllo..... I woke up with a sore throat, but told myself no worries, this is the last week of school. Suck it up. Well I had shown up to school, and let's just say there was a ton of situations that happened that caused for a very stressful. I had a rough day. I continued to keep feeling sick. I finally got done with school, ran to the store and was so happy to be finally home after my day..and I walked in to this...

I was not happy about the two stuffed objects she tore up, but the ink is the bad part. That was our new rug for our living room. Blue ink. I am still trying to get it out. She is still in a bit of trouble.

After cleaning up Scott tried to help since he knew my day was awful, and cleaned up some stuff in the mud room. Lost his wedding ring....After us desperately looking for it. I found it wrapped in a tarp in the garage he had folded up. THANK GOD.

But through it all, even though I am still upset about a few things that have happened, I know that there is a reason for everything. Today I think it was to help me realize how much my husband and I need each other. He had a rough day as well, and through it we just hugged, and got through it. So nice to know I have married my best friend.

Soooo I'm linking up for Mingle.

Meg's question for monday was:

What are your favorite holiday traditions?
I have so many!

1. We always get to open on gift on Christmas Eve. It's always a nice, new pair of pj's to sleep in. (My grandma started this tradition with my mom and her sisters)

2. We always go bowling/ice skating for my sister's birthday which falls on Christmas Eve.

3. We open gifts on Christmas Day, go to my aunts for brunch, and usually never change out of the pj's

4. Dinner on Christmas eve.

5. We still do Santa gifts.

I just love the holidays.

Weekend...

Happy Monday, and I hope you all had a great weekend. I felt like ours was a whirlwind, even with having Friday off!

Friday: Day off for both Scott and I. It was super nice to sleep in past 6:00 am! We both relaxed, and then I was surprised by some family that lives in town. We had a nice visit. After Scott went to lunch with a friend, and I got cleaned up. Milli had a vet appointment to try to figure out once again why she is itching so badly. So we had allergy testing done, and get the results this week. She also got a microchip which I am super happy about. I felt so bad though because the vet stresses her out so badly.

She wouldn't stop cuddling and whining. Broke my heart, so I may have ordered her some new collars. She isn't spoiled.

After the appointment I had to run home and get ready for the football game. Once again it was FREEZING. and my cousin Courtney was my date as always. They game to say the least was very bad again, so we left after the 3rd quarter.

I sure do have fun hanging out with her, and she finds out her baby's gender on Halloween!

Saturday: we got up early and drove to Laramie. I got my nails done and a pedi which was sooooo nice, since it had been since the wedding! Scott went and tailgated for awhile, and I just relaxed with pop-e and Mill pie. Overall it was relaxing just to hang out with him.

I did get to enjoy a pumpkin spiced latte! yum!

Sunday: we had to get going early again since Scott had papers to grade, but we ended up getting groceries since Laramie has a Wal-mart which is so much cheaper then the grocery store we have. It started snowing. BOO. The trip home took longer then expected. I went on a rampage when we got home. I painted and almost finished the living room. I need this house to come together!

Today: we had a professional development day which makes for a long day. I paid bills, did laundry, and made dinner. I was planning on finishing painting but I think after this post a bath and bed sounds much better. Painting can come tomorrow!

I leave you with an attempt of a family photo, a video of Scott and M, and a picture of M's new favorite spot.

Have a great evening and as always thank you for stopping by! love all your comments!

days like today.

Happy Hump Day to everyone! ( I am saying that in the camel voice from the Geico commercial)! I am so glad today is hump day because that means tomorrow is my last day of work for this week. I truly love my job, but this week has been a tad bit rough! My kiddos are wild wild wild. Today after work too I felt like jumping through the phone at a customer service person. I don't understand why people have to be rude. Manners go a long ways. So as I was driving home from work, frustrated, I thought to myself, don't be mad...just be happy because I have so much in my life to be happy...

Here are some things that make me realize a bad day, doesn't have to set the tone for everything.

My many blessings:

*My loves*

*my sweet nephews*

*my girls and my boy*

*so funny story. It's homecoming week at the school my parents work at...This morning my mom sent me the photo above..yes that is her dressing like my dad at football....I added some photos so you could see*
*these type of things make my days*

*yep. pop-e OF COURSE*

and I have so much more. What are some of your blessings????
I hope you all had a good day, a nice glass of wine is calling my name!

Mingle and Weekend

Hello everyone!
I am hoping everyone had a great weekend!

Friday: a super busy day at work. Even though we didn't have our normal students, we did have toddler group for an hour, and then prepping for the whole week, observation logs, and cleaning. I was burnt out by the time work was finished.

Scott and I met up after went to the bank and FINALLY combined our bank accounts. Still some getting used to having a new last name and all. Then we had a quick lunch. He had a football game that night, and so he had to be at the stadium early. It was FREEZING FRIDAY. I mean almost zero. So my cousin, her boyfriend, and I dressed in our warm gear and headed to the game. I wish I could say it was worth sitting in the horrible weather, including SNOW which I am not ready for, but we lost bad, and to say the least Mr. Muir was not happy.

We were a tad bit cold.

Saturday: Well Sunday is actually the twins birthday, but we celebrated on Saturday so that everyone could come. Let me tell you, the boys made out. I can't even begin to tell you how much new stuff they got. They are two pretty cute, spoiled 3 year olds!

Scott and I got them tractors, hats, and backpacks

These are the hats we got them, the arms move!

That night I just relaxed and saw my family and Scott saw a friend who came to town.

Sunday: We had breakfast with the family, and then went to the house. My aunt came over to help, and my sweet 87 year old pop-e even helped! We didn't end moving in all the way, but we still have some more painting to do anyways!

The rest of the day was spent just getting ready for the week!

Overall a great weekend!

The Mingle Question: If you had a random day off, what would I do?
At this moment, I would paint my house, so we could move in sooner : )

Join Meg, and mingle!
