Happy Monday!

Hello Happy MLK DAY and a day off for me!

I am loving this long weekend, even though I didn't get barely anything I wanted accomplished!

Friday: I got off an hour early from work, so I was excited and got to go workout early. I got 5.5 miles done on the elliptical, abs, and weights. The low point of my workout was seeing a guy doing squats and his leopard underwear were showing...haha...I had a hard time holding myself together...next low point hearing a guy try to pep talk himself to do his reps. (then he didn't even finish them) but I was so happy to get my workout done early! Scott and I ended up and watching the boys basketball game, which we won so that was nice. The rest of the night was relaxing.

Saturday: I went to a special Saturday spinning class they had. I wore my new shirt I got for Christmas, loved it. Kept me motivated.

After my workout I got a nice surprise that my pop-e was coming for the rest of the weekend. Scott left for Denver to go watch the playoff game so it was nice to have company. I finally got to watch my cousin Carson play and she even got in the varsity game!

I ended up staying the night with my family since Scott was out of town. So nice to hang out with them.

Sunday: LAZY. that was my word yesterday. I did nothing but watch football and sleep. The twins stopped by and that was nice. Milli got to play with my aunt's boxers. I think she wore them both out!

Last night I finally told myself I needed to do at least one thing productive, so I gave Milli a shower. Thank goodness because she smells much better haha!

Today: I went to breakfast with my pop-e, aunt, and cousin. We then went shopping (if you can call it that) at a little store we have. They came over and helped try to pick out some paint colors for some more rooms in the house... and now I need to go to the grocery store to get some food since we seem to have nothing.
I am honestly just enjoying having the day off!!!

I hope you have had a wonderful day and weekend!

Holy Monday....Mingle...and Weekend

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope your day's have been great and not the "typical" Monday!

I am going to start with my weekend rewind....

Friday: Friday was a nice day. Work was done by one. I got some errands done, and Scott's Christmas party for work was that night. It was an Ugly Sweater theme. My uncle has this great sweater that he let Scott wear, and Scott's mom had one from high school that she let me borrow. She also still had her boots from 1970 that I wore! They def completed the outfit!

It was a great time, and much needed with my husband, but since we don't go out much, we were still home by 11!

Saturday: I made breakfast for both Scott and I, and then got super excited because pop-e was on his way to our house. He was our first guest! Milli couldn't barely contain herself!

We relaxed with him, and my aunt came over. We ended up all helping baby sit the twins because their dad had his Christmas party. It was a good time! I hadn't got to see them in a while!

As you can see below they now love making faces!

I am super excited because they will be coming to Christmas in Laramie with the rest of us!

Pop-e tried out my aunt's beats and I couldn't resist taking a picture!

Sunday: We all slept in since we stayed up later talking. Pop-e def got a wake up call from his buddy.

She knew right where he was and snuggled right in.

We enjoyed breakfast, but then pop-e had to head back home. I was sad, but also knew that I would be seeing him this coming weekend for the holidays! The rest of the day my cousin Courtney stayed at our house and I literally had my arm on her belly all day. I felt baby boy kick, and move. I talked to him, played him music... Loved every minute of it.

Milli even got in on the action!

It was such a nice day. She is so much like me and it's great to just talk with her!

The weekend was awesome.

Monday: Oh helllo..... I woke up with a sore throat, but told myself no worries, this is the last week of school. Suck it up. Well I had shown up to school, and let's just say there was a ton of situations that happened that caused for a very stressful. I had a rough day. I continued to keep feeling sick. I finally got done with school, ran to the store and was so happy to be finally home after my day..and I walked in to this...

I was not happy about the two stuffed objects she tore up, but the ink is the bad part. That was our new rug for our living room. Blue ink. I am still trying to get it out. She is still in a bit of trouble.

After cleaning up Scott tried to help since he knew my day was awful, and cleaned up some stuff in the mud room. Lost his wedding ring....After us desperately looking for it. I found it wrapped in a tarp in the garage he had folded up. THANK GOD.

But through it all, even though I am still upset about a few things that have happened, I know that there is a reason for everything. Today I think it was to help me realize how much my husband and I need each other. He had a rough day as well, and through it we just hugged, and got through it. So nice to know I have married my best friend.

Soooo I'm linking up for Mingle.

Meg's question for monday was:

What are your favorite holiday traditions?
I have so many!

1. We always get to open on gift on Christmas Eve. It's always a nice, new pair of pj's to sleep in. (My grandma started this tradition with my mom and her sisters)

2. We always go bowling/ice skating for my sister's birthday which falls on Christmas Eve.

3. We open gifts on Christmas Day, go to my aunts for brunch, and usually never change out of the pj's

4. Dinner on Christmas eve.

5. We still do Santa gifts.

I just love the holidays.

Let it snow

So as much as I hate the cold, I am really wanting an old fashioned snowy Christmas... we used to have them all the time when I was younger and I feel like in the last few years we get a few big snow storms and then it melts. Don't get me wrong in the mountains here we get a ton of snow, just not in town as much...

So as I still didn't feel good and took today off, I was pleased to wake up to a blanket of snow..it is still snowing which makes me happy.

The only thing that doesn't...is that its supposed to be artic temps tomorrow... warnings are coming out like crazy.

I got to relax all day, and ended up resting and watching Love Actually all day. and when I say all day, I mean all day. Milli and I snuggled and I am finally feeling human again.

I came home to my husband shoveling the walks and making sure I had gas in my vehicle because he said he doesn't want me outside more then I have to be! Milli joined him in her coat...! She wanted to attack the shovel!

I adore both of them!

So on a cute note, the song Let it Snow keeps playing since I have my Christmas music on, and I have a cute story. My pop-e proposed to my grandma at Christmas time in 1945. The song playing when he did...Let it Snow.... I love hearing that song. They eloped on Jan. 12. They were married 65 years before my grandma got ill and passed. Love that song.

Happy Tuesday. I hope you are all staying warm!

Thanksgiving recap and Monday...

Hello!! I bet you thought I forgot my blog, actually I didn't. I decided since I was going home for the holiday that I wouldn't blog and just relax and hang with my family. I haven't seen them in awhile and was super excited!

Scott had a diabetes appointment on Wednesday, and decided it be best to stay in Wyoming (enter sad face) He will be joining me for Christmas. So Milli and I packed up the vehicle and drove the nice long drive to my parents! It was a nice low key night, and I was so tired that Milli and I just snuggled. My mom captured honestly a great picture and M and I. It's up with my favorites.

Thanksgiving Day: We cooked, and played cards all day. That night we ate some delicious turkey dinner, and then played more cards. My family and I decided to try black friday shopping at midnight since we never had. We had some success but I am not sure I will do it again....

Friday morning, I some how I woke up at 7:30 after going to bed at 3 am to have breakfast with a high school classmate and her son! so good to see them!

When I got home from breakfast my family was ready for shopping round 2. This went on ALL DAY. I didn't get home tell 5 that evening. I couldn't believe I was still functioning.

When I walked into my parents house they surprised me with Scott and I's wedding gift. They had it special ordered and its for our movie room. It is amazing to sit in and I LOVE it.

That evening I got to see my best friend Erika, her hubby, and sweet baby Jude. It's been a month and a half since I saw him and couldn't believe how he grew!

Saturday I did nothing. I am pretty sure I was in my pj's for about 75% of the day.... that was my day.
I just loved hanging with my family, and so did milli

Sunday I had to come home and I was so sad. The wind was blowing about 50 mph and it was a long drive. I started to decorate last night, but Scott and I still have to go get our tree. we want a real one this year.

Today: Well my morning didn't start so hot, but got better once I got to work.... the wind is still blowing and we are supposed to hae 70 mph wind! and then the snow is supposed to come. I don't mind the snow but the wind can stop. Work was going fine, and then bam. I felt like I was going to get sick everywhere. I went asking for some tums and my boss saw me and she said I looked like a ghost and needed to go home and rest. So I got sent home. So I am laying here trying not to lose it... I hate being sick, but nausous is the worse to me...

I hope your Monday's went well, and that while I was gone from blogging your week/weekend was wonderful!

5 Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm joining the link up for 5 on Friday!

ONE: So some exciting news as to why I wasn't blogging yesterday. One of the kiddos I teach...well his stepdad runs the movie theater here. We were talking when he picked up his kid about when Catching Fire would be showing. Well he was doing a sneak peek for some of his friends, and he said I could go! So my cousin Courtney and I went and  got to watch Catching Fire, YESTERDAY before it was open to the public.... FOR FREE. Yeah...I was so stoked! I loved loved the books, and this just was such an awesome way to end my day! Ps. the movie.... AHHHHH MAZING

Highly recommend it!

TWO: I have an amazing friends....I am pretty blessed...and when I got home from work today I found a package at my front door. One of my amazing best friends, Erika, got me this beautiful painting "just because" "it was you" :) she knows me so well. love you.

THREE: Every Friday I get to watch the younger ones for an hour. We call it toddler group, but I have a family friend who brings her daughter, and we take a photo every Friday. Love it!

FOUR: I am so looking foward to hopefully getting out of town tomorrow, to Casper for some actual shopping. I would love to get enough stuff for a photo wall in the living room. I would also love to finally print some wedding photos! Civilization watch out.. (if the weather/roads cooperate)

Ps. If you have any ideas for a photo wall, send me the pics!

FIVE: I love coming home to Milli. We always cuddle, and she is my buddy. Last night we laid in bed an watched Grey's while Scott watche Thursday night football. She sneaks into bed also with me at about 5:30 every morning...good thing we have a king size bed so her dad doesn't notice!

love her.

Birthday for Papa... and a little extra

Happy Friday.

I hope you all have had a wonderful week. Mine was hectic, and I couldn't be more glad to welcome in Friday. I love Friday's because we get off work at 1.

But more importantly today is my dad (step)'s birthday!!!

He is an amazing guy, and if I was to list everything he has taught me since I was 5 years old this blog would be more of a novel. He has been not only a great dad to my sisters and I, but a wonderful husband, teacher, coach, and just all around guy.

Happy Birthday Papa P. Hope you have a fantastic day.

love you!

so a couple things I have to share from the week:

1. Alison my best Canadian friend sent Scott and I the most amazing wedding gift ever. I teared up honestly. It's a custome cutting board, that has our wedding invitation on it. Thank you again...amazing.

2. I love getting these snap chats from one of my besties. almost everyday. they make my day constantly.

3. Milli is constantly making me smile. This past week was a big basketball game. Kansas vs. Duke. I am a huge Duke fan. But a lot of my family are Kansas fans...but I had to get M in the spirit for the big game. (duke lost) still upset.

Then yesterday she literally pushed backed the curtain to look outside. Nosey much?

4. It was emotional week, and at the end of the day I just keep reminding myself how blessed I really am. Sorry for the lack of blogging, but like I said I was a little out of it.

so I am chosing happiness.

Happy weekend. xxoo
