HOLA!

So as I was sitting here wondering what to blog about on this busy Tuesday.

I started thinking....couples stories are always fun to hear...

How did you meet your special person?

Here is mine: 

I met Scott by chance. I mean completely by chance. I was dating a boy from college, and he was not very good  to me at all. I started to break it off with him, and finally did right at the end of spring semester.

My cousin's graduation was coming up at the end up May.

Well as I have told you my cousin is like my brother. So I ended up taking off a week and a half from work and going to down to spend time with him.

Well Colton's graduation was on Friday, but his reception was Saturday at 2:00 pm. 

Well I was still getting cleaned up around 1:30 and I walked through the kitchen....here was this long hair, surfer looking guy standing in the kitchen already eating.

I remember thinking "who the heck is this guy, and why is he here so early?"

Well come to find out...he was an athlete who had played football for my Uncle. 

Scott was pretty much his superstar (not bragging-honestly he was) 

He helped them win State Football for the first time in 2001 since 1946.

So not going to lie, I was intrigued...I always have like athletes because I was one, and loved being able to share that with someone..

As the party went on we had a few drinks....eek. 

Well we ended up talking and hanging out. 

I thought he was just a "player" but ended up hearing from him the next day after the party.

Well we hung out all week. Shared our first kiss....and first date..

which was to the hot pools...really romantic, and I was super nervous to be in a bathing suit in front of him.

Well come Thursday I had to go back to my job at college. 

I told him I wouldn't hear from him....well he wanted to prove me wrong..

He called me 4 times the next day. Well I needed to get away from my college town, so I ended up staying with my aunt that summer and working...and so the rest is all history...

Here we are almost 4 years later!

Weekend recap!

Yes. I did nothing but rest. 

I had to train on Saturday for about 5 hours, but other than that.

Milli and I slept and watched MASSIVE amounts of Friends this weekend.

Oh! and Scott and I are making our to do list for Vegas!

POSITIVE.

So I saw this over at Katie's blog. 

She picked a word for 2012.

My word: POSITIVE.

In the past, I have a tendency to thinking negatively. I would disguise my negativity as oh, I'm just prepared for the worst. I think at times it set me up for failure or kept me in a negative mind set.

So my goal for this year is staying positive!

I want to stay positive about getting a teaching job!

I am going to be POSITIVE about my relationships.

Not just with Scott, but family, friends, etc. 

I am going to be POSITIVE about my body, and working out.

I need to remember that change takes time, and that getting older my body won't look like it did when I was 17.

Ugh Day!

So I had one of those days...

I had 8 o'clock class....my alarm went off at 7:59.

Missed that class! 

On my way to my 9:30 class, a guy almost ran into me due to the snow....

got to class...spilled my coffee all over my binder with all my notes. 

Fail.

The college also informed me that they forgot to charge me for a class. The bill is $900.

OUCH! 

So at this point I wanted to cry.

Then I saw this....

It made me feel a lot better, and I know tomorrow is a new day.

Soooo I'm back! 

What a good weekend!

Thursday night I left for home to get MAJOR dental work done.

I was super excited because I am finally rid of the dreadful retainer of 12 years!!!

 Sorry to use this picture again, but I am excited ! 

I also got a wonderful surprise while home! 

Pop-e drove up and stayed the weekend!

yay!!!!

I also got to see the twins!!

It was great to spend time with family!

I was supposed to leave yesterday but the roads were awful so I came back today and was sooooo happy to see this face!

New smile!

So as I shared earlier this week about my accident that 

took 2 of my permanent teeth, I finally got rid of the retainer 

after 12 YEARS!

I am one happy girl!

Finally no more retainer or as Scott said a nerdy retainer! 

I was in some serious pain last night as I spent from 8:30-1 in the dentist 

but today is much better!

I am sooooo happy!

3 day week

So I have a 3 day week. 

Yesterday we had school off do to MLK Day.

I have to drive to back home Thursday night for an all day dentist appt Friday.

You may ask why all day.

Well here is a little something about me: 

When I was 12 I used to cross country ski as a sport.

I was at practice, and was told to use the tracks (pre-groomed ski tracks) to go down the hill.

Well due to the pine trees I couldn't see the bottom of the hill because of a turn.

A kid had crashed and was upset at the bottom.

I got in the tracks and went down the hill, he was still upset and I swerved to miss him.

I turned my head at the last moment.

His ski went into my mouth and pulled out two teeth from the roots.

That is why I wear a retainer. 

It has fake teeth on it. 

So hopefully this Friday after have a retainer for 12 years I will be getting a bridge.

So sick of this retainer!

So my fingers are crossed!!!!

Yesterday I did nothing. 

I mean nothing. 

I did one workout and pretty much lounged around with Milli all day.
